Discover the best of Saadiyat Island during your stay
Saadiyat Island is known for its natural beauty, with its stunning coastline and clear waters home to the island's original guests – the Hawksbill sea turtles which nest on the pristine beachfront. It is thanks to the efforts of the island's Hawksbill Turtle Conservation Programme – the only one of its kind in the region – that the turtles return during the breeding season every year to lay their eggs. Each nest can contain around 90 to 100 eggs and they are protected via elevated boardwalks that prevent people from disturbing the nests.
The island is also dotted with an array of cultural hubs and work is underway to transform the destination into one with the world’s single largest concentration of cultural venues. It is currently home to the renowned Louvre Abu Dhabi, where visitors can discover a permanent display of art from around the world alongside seasonal exhibitions.
Manarat Al Saadiyat also offers a creative hub for emerging and established artists. The recently opened Abrahamic Family House is also a cultural icon in its own right, with a mosque, church and synagogue sitting harmoniously alongside each other – a proud symbol of tolerance.
Set to join the ranks soon is Zayed National Museum, which will shine a light on the life and legacy of the country's founding father, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi.
